Top Reasons for Failing with Internet Marketing

Top Reasons for Failing with Internet Marketing

Without actually knowing it in the form of hard cold numbers, so I just speculate, but I assume I will not be too wrong, that about 80% of all people starting out in the internet marketing game will fail.

You may wonder why?

Well, on the one hand this has to do with the pareto principle, which you can apply nearly anywhere and it has proven to be right most of the time.

As an example, in a basketball match 80% of the players score 20% of all points, and 20% of the players score 80% of the points.

Or another example, 80% of all people starting out with a soccer career in mind will fail, 20% will make it.

There are many ways in utilizing the pareto principle, and you will be fascinated how accurate it is.

But getting to the more practical reasons for people failing with internet marketing, is because they do not treat it professional enough.

Everything, or at least nearly everything, in the internet marketing branch seems to be simple and easy:

Just join here, everything done for you, make money while you sleep, etc.

Sounds all very good, right?

So you start joining this program, and that opportunity, and look over there, this sounds great too, so let us join it.

As I said, it is easy to join and get started, AND it is easy to quit as well.

Just delete your account and go. And I think many people are doing it exactly like that.

Often they are just curious, getting hyped by the marketing messages, but once inside they realize, there is some action to be done, and usually some money to be invested, it is not that effortlessly as promised, and before even giving the opportunity a try, they prefer to quit.

Very often, that is how it is, and it is quite normal.

Not only in internet marketing, but in nearly any field that you can imagine, whether it is just for fun, or more serious.

If you are interested in becoming an internet marketing professional, you should start getting aware on two essential things:

Number #1

Every opportunity lives from a certain vision, an idea about getting somewhere and reaching something, and it usually involves growth and getting some sort of product into the market through the help of the internet.

That is why this task is called internet marketing. It is done by finding customers and distributors.

This normally does not magically happen on its own, so some sort of action is required.

Number #2

As customer and distributor are pretty much interwoven in internet marketing, be aware that you regularly have to bring up some funds when you start out with an opportunity.

Whether it is some form of a distributor starter pack, or you at least have to do some advertising/ marketing, which usually costs some money.

In serious companies there are free options to get started, but to really get going at a reasonable speed, you will most likely need to invest some money.

There are - of course - exceptions to this two rules, but I think they are really rare, and you need a lot of luck stumbling over them.

I hope the bunch of ideas presented here will help you in becoming more professional in your internet marketing endeavours, so that failing with internet marketing will happen to you less frequent.
